Hi! My name is Kris McCoy. I am a wife, a boy mom and a certified personal trainer. My passion has always been helping people, sounds so cliché but it’s the truth. I went to college thinking I wanted to be a nurse until I realized that I would have to clean up human feces and vomit that was not mine LOL so I decided against it! Praise all you nurses out there!! I decided to go into x-ray, instead. I worked at Children’s Hospital for 7 years and in my 6th year, after having my little boy, I decided I wanted more; more time with my family and more for myself-I wanted to be my own boss. I remember telling my husband that I wanted to start a gym in Birmingham and with no hesitation, his response was ”LET’S DO IT!!” Long story short, Sculpt was open for two whole years, even through the madness of COVID (Praise God) and then we sold our “second baby” in April 2021 to a couple in the area that are absolutely killing the game! My husband, Josh, and I had been talking about opening a gym in our hometown for a while before actually selling Sculpt. We wanted to give back to the community, especially younger adults. Our memberships are very fair pricing as they are BUT if a teenager wants a membership at HOMETOWN ATHLETICS, they can bring us a copy of their A-B honor roll report card and their membership will be FREE…yes, FREE!!
